Summer Interns

Our Summer Interns

Each summer, Versatope offers internships to science students, which gives them the opportunity to apply their passion and talent for science and engage in cutting edge research in a start-up environment as an integral part of our team.

    Kimberly Carroll

Kimberly returns for her second summer as an intern at Versatope. She is an undergraduate senior and third-year researcher at UMass Lowell pursuing double majors in biology and chemistry, with a concentration in biochemistry. She has worked in the biochemistry laboratory in the Chemistry Department at UMass Lowell and collaborated on multiple projects. Her time working at Versatope has profoundly impacted the research interests that she plans to pursue during her PhD program in the fall.

In her free time, Kimberly enjoys running outside, cooking, reading non-fiction books and academic papers about the gut-brain axis, and playing games with my family and friends.

Ivy Gao

Ivy is a rising senior at Brandeis University studying neuroscience and biology. She is interested in the way that brain and body chemistry influences behavior, and how delving into scientific research leads to knowledge that can help others. In her free time, Ivy enjoys writing, reading, and drinking boba tea.
